राहुल गांधी के 1 अक्टूबर के बालाघाट दौरे से ठीक पहले जिला अस्पताल में 11 वर्षीय आदिवासी बालिका सुषमा की उपचार के दौरान मौत ने स्वास्थ्य व्यवस्था और सरकारी आंकड़ों पर सवाल फिर तेज कर दिए हैं। रिपोर्टों के अनुसार वह सुंदरवाही गांव की रहने वाली थी और 26 सितंबर को भर्ती हुई थी।

मलेरिया के साथ अन्य समस्याएं, देर रात थमी सांसें

सीएमएचओ डॉ. शत्रुघ्न दाहिया ने मौत की पुष्टि करते हुए बताया कि बच्ची को मलेरिया था, साथ ही अन्य स्वास्थ्य समस्याएं भी थीं और वह अचेत अवस्था में थी। मौत देर रात करीब 2 बजे हुई। शव एंबुलेंस से गांव भेजा गया, जहां गुरुवार को अंतिम संस्कार हुआ। सवाल यह है कि गंभीर हालत में पहुंच रहे आदिवासी बच्चों को समय पर पर्याप्त और विशेषज्ञ इलाज क्यों नहीं मिल पा रहा?

स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने बीमारी से जुड़ी 32 बच्चों की मौत दर्ज की है, जबकि बैहर विधायक संजय उइके 43 मौतों का दावा कर रहे हैं। विभाग का कहना है कि अंतर मृत्यु के कारणों के अलग-अलग वर्गीकरण की वजह से है। तो फिर ग्रामवार और परिवारवार सत्यापित सूची सार्वजनिक क्यों नहीं होती, ताकि हर मौत का कारण साफ हो सके?

जगला के चार बच्चे: रिकॉर्ड में हैं या नहीं?

राहुल गांधी ने 1 अक्टूबर को जगला गांव पहुंचकर प्रभावित परिवारों से मुलाकात की। रिपोर्टों के अनुसार जगला में चार बच्चों की मौत की जानकारी सामने आई है, और इनके सरकारी रिकॉर्ड में शामिल होने पर सवाल उठ रहे हैं। हालांकि इन चार मामलों की स्वतंत्र पुष्टि और हर मृत्यु का आधिकारिक चिकित्सकीय कारण अभी स्पष्ट नहीं है। उधर विभाग ने प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में बड़ा अभियान चलाया है: 50 गांवों में 43 हजार से अधिक लोगों की जांच और हजारों मलेरिया परीक्षण।

स्क्रीनिंग जरूरी है, पर जब तक आंकड़ों पर भरोसा नहीं बनेगा, सवाल थमेंगे नहीं। क्या सरकार सत्यापित सूची सामने रखेगी?
